Ipava Avenue & 192nd Street Improvements

The City of Lakeville is proposing to reconstruct Ipava Avenue from Kenwood Trail (County Road 50) to 192nd Street along with 192nd Street from Kenwood Trail to Ipava Avenue in 2022. This project includes pavement reclamation, spot curb and gutter replacement, storm sewer repairs and water and sewer system improvements.

Road Closures

  • June 13-end of August, 2022: Ipava Avenue will be closed to traffic from Couonty Road 50 to 192nd Street West. Please note 192nd will only be closed on the south side of the intersection. Ipava Avenue will be re-opened prior to school resuming. Access will be maintained to 198th Street West and Ames Ice Arena off of County Road 50. Detours will be posted, or you can download a detour map (PDF).

  • October 18, 2021: City Council approves feasibility report
  • November 11, 2021: Neighborhood meeting (see below)
  • November 15, 2021: First public hearing (improvement hearing)
  • November 2021 – January 2022: Prepare plans and specifications
  • February 2022: Receive bids
  • April 2022: Assessment hearing
  • June – August 2022: Construction
